Pendekatan STEM dalam Pembelajaran Online Karya Sastra Menulis Kreatif di Era Covid-19

Abstract


The research is motivated by the problem of creative writing of student literary works that is not optimal. Therfore, the research aims to determine the extent to which the STEAM approach can influence online learning of creative writing of student literary works. The research method used a qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were students of class 2017-B1. The process of collecting data through the task of writing an anthology of poetry and the results of a short story test. The results of this research point to a pre-implementation STEM approach with an average short story writing quality of 59.47% and a poetry writing score of 57.98% which should have a minimum target score of 75%. After the post-implementation STEM approach was carried out, the final score for writing short stories was 83.40% or an increase of 3.34%, while writing short stories obtained a score of 82.34% or an increase of 3.29% from the previous target score. It can be said that the STEAM approach in online learning of creative writing of literary works is different from previous learning.

 

Abstrak

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa yang belum optimal. Maka penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pendekatan STEAM dapat mempengaruhi pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2018-B1. Proses pengumpulan data melalui tugas menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dengan cara mendeskripsikan hasil menulis antologi puisi dan hasil tes cerpen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pendekatan STEM pra implemntasi dengan rata-rata kualitas menulis cerpen 59,47% dan nilai menulis puisi sebesar 57,98% yang seharunya target skor nilai sebesar 75% minimal. Setelah dilakukan pendekatan STEM pasca implementasi diperoleh skor akhir menulis cerpen sebesar 83,40% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,34% sedangkan menulis cerpen diperoleh skor sebesar 82,34% atau meningkat sebanyak 3,29% dari target nilai sebelumnya. Dapat dikatakan pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran daring menulis kreatif karya sastra memiliki perbedaan dari pembelajaran sebelumnya.
